Job summary

GFT is seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager with an Aviation Focus to lead aviation projects nationwide. The role supports an aviation practice with a leadership role in client relations, design leadership, and project delivery across multiple offices.

The position offers a hybrid work model with office attendance required. The candidate will mentor teams, set project direction, and advance GFT’s presence in airport and airline design, while aligning with company goals and professional

Qualifications

• Licensed /Registered Architect in the United States.
• Bachelor of Architecture Degree or Master of Architecture Degree.
• 15 years’ experience with Aviation Projects.
• Effective writer, communicator, detail-oriented designer.
• Able to work collaboratively with staff and clients on multiple projects.
• In depth knowledge of International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an aviation subject matter expert and share best practices with teams.
• Provide thought leadership on passenger experience, operations, and sustainability.
• Grow GFT’s aviation practice by strengthening client relationships and pursuing opportunities.
• Be a client-facing representative and build trust with aviation clients.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and monitor performance.
• Lead complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams from design to construction.
