Job summary

TekSynap Corporation in Herndon, VA seeks a Tier 3 Audio Visual Technician to support mission-critical AV/VTC systems for the Space Development Agency. The role covers conference rooms, secure environments, and integration across classified and unclassified networks.

The successful candidate will assist with rack fabrication, testing, system commissioning, and customer support at the SDA facility in Virginia, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise Audio Visual, Unified Communications, or Video Teleconferencing systems.
• Experience supporting secure government, Department of Defense, or Intelligence Community environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting experience with AV control systems, DSPs, video distribution, and conferencing technologies.
• Experience with AV system integration, rack fabrication, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking fundamentals, and system interoperability.
• Experience supporting: Microsoft Teams Rooms, CiscoCodecs, Digital signage systems, Executive conference room technologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
• Ability to read and interpret AV drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for AV, VTC, and collaboration system issues.
• Provide operations and maintenance support for enterprise AV systems and executive spaces.
• Support scheduling, setup, and execution of meetings and video teleconferences.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and control system issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with networks, cybersecurity, facilities, and engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.
• Support approximately ten conference rooms and spaces.
• Ensure conference rooms remain operational, secure, and mission ready.
• Coordinate room scheduling and meeting support requirements.
• Support AV installation, integration, testing, and commissioning.
• Build, wire, label, and test equipment racks per designs.
• Conduct bench testing and system validation prior to deployment.
• Verify system functionality and interoperability.
