Job summary

Pyramid Roanoke Hotel & Conference Center seeks an Audio-Visual Tech to support events with setup, breakdown, and hands-on operation. You will manage live and virtual experiences, including music, video, and pre/post-production elements.

The role requires knowledge of AV equipment, collaboration with teams, and ability to adapt to variable hours, including weekends. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and handle event logistics is essential.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects & Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut, Avid, etc.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. to a maximum height of 60 inches on a regular basis.
• Able to work variable hours including weekends and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down events, solve technical difficulties, and be hands-on during events.
• Execute technical and digital enhancements to live & virtual experiences (music, animations, video recording/editing, etc.).
• Ensure timely and accurate set-up of all conference meetings and private functions.
• Oversee technical aspects of virtual experiences (camera operator, Zoom host, director, edit).
• Maintain Master of Information about facilities (room names, locations, capacities, setups, capabilities).
