Job summary

The Building People is seeking a Conference Room/ Audio-Visual Technician to manage conference room scheduling, AV setup, and event support across client sites. You will ensure smooth operation of meetings, trainings, and special events with modern AV equipment and reliable systems.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in AV setup and special events management, strong customer service, and the ability to troubleshoot complex AV setups.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of audio‑visual setup and support experience.
• Minimum 5 years of special events management and room setup experience.
• Experience operating modern audiovisual technologies and telecommunications equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain AV systems.
• Experience with conference room reservation systems.
• Ability to inspect and maintain AED units.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate conference room reservations.
• Set up conference rooms, training rooms, and event spaces.
• Configure tables, chairs, podiums, microphones, projectors, televisions, and other AV equipment.
• Operate and troubleshoot sound, lighting, and audiovisual systems.
• Provide live meeting and event support.
• Maintain collaboration center help desk operations.
• Inspect and maintain conference room technology.
• Coordinate AV maintenance issues with IT support personnel.
• Support special events and meeting logistics.
• Assist other contract functions during periods of lower AV demand.
