Job summary

AVI Systems is seeking a Sales Engineer to partner with the Sales Team in a pre-sales technical role. You will provide technical consultancy, demonstrations, and presentations of AV product solutions to customers and partners.

You will design and configure AV systems to meet client needs, support architecture and planning, and assist with formal sales plans and proposals. Strong communication and CAD skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

Experience in service and installation of audio, video and presentation systems.
Proficient in control systems programming and CAD software.
Strong communication, leadership and customer relations skills.
Ability to read engineering schematics and convey design intent.
Expert knowledge of videoconferencing and unified communications technologies.
CTS and CTS-D certifications required; other industry certs are a plus (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Shure).

Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise to support the architecture, installation and planning of audio, video and control solutions.
Research and analyze the capabilities of available hardware and software options.
May interact with customers during the sales cycle and communicate with staff at all levels.
Design audiovisual systems that meet customer needs with integrated hardware and software.
Assist with development of formal sales plans and proposals.
