Job summary

General Motors Corporation in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help define autonomous sensing architectures across GM’s AV programs. You will perform system-level trade studies, specify sensor performance, and ensure integration with perception, localization, and validation teams.

The role requires a BS in a technical field, 5+ years of sensor experience, proficiency in Matlab or Python, and a strong grasp of sensor physics and ML methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience with sensor analysis and integration.
• Experience with sensor physics, signal processing, data analysis, or ML across modalities.

Responsibilities

• Execute system-level trade studies for the design of multi-modality sensor systems.
• Develop detailed performance specifications for sensors supported by sensor physics and signal processing.
• Assess performance against product needs to quantify risk and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with simulation, vehicle integration, perception, localization and validation teams.
