Job summary

Avidex is seeking an AV Project Manager for our Lake Forest, CA office to lead multiple audiovisual integration projects from planning through completion. You will serve as the primary customer contact, develop schedules, manage resources and budgets, and ensure on-time delivery with quality and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in AV/IT project management, strong communication, and willingness to travel for project needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in business administration, project management, or related field preferred.
• Two or more years of project management experience in the AV/IT industry or related technical field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and project schedules.
• Ability to obtain AVIXA CTS certification within one year of hire.
• Ability to obtain a PMP certification within one year of hire.
• Willingness to travel as project needs require, including occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple AV integration projects from kickoff through closeout.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution.
• Develop and manage project schedules while balancing scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
• Coordinate internal resources, installation teams, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment procurement.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
• Lead project implementation teams by assigning responsibilities and maintaining accountability.
• Partner with estimating and engineering teams during project planning, site surveys, and handoffs.
• Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, schedules, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and closeout docs.
• Coordinate project logistics, equipment deliveries, and installation schedules.
• Support installation teams with system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning when needed.
• Ensure projects comply with company standards, customer requirements, and OSHA regulations.
• Attend customer meetings, project reviews, safety meetings, and required training.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.
