Job summary

Avidex in Lake Forest, CA, seeks an Audiovisual (AV) Project Engineer to design, plan, implement and commission AV/IT systems. You will work with project managers, design teams, field engineers, and stakeholders to deliver projects within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

You will develop drawings, documentation, and estimates while collaborating across disciplines and leading assigned projects. The role requires 2+ years of AV/IT design/engineering experience, strong problem solving, and

Qualifications

• AV/IT design and engineering responsibilities across projects.
• Documentation and technical drawing creation for AV/IT systems.
• Troubleshooting and commissioning of AV/IT systems.
• Cross-functional coordination with architectural, electrical, HVAC, and acoustics.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support AV/IT projects from system design and planning through commissioning and closeout.
• Develop technical drawings and documentation, including plans, elevations, diagrams, and equipment schedules.
• Collaborate with project teams to define scope, technical requirements, schedules, resource needs, and project risks.
• Support cost estimates, site surveys, bid reviews, take-offs, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate AV/IT requirements with architectural, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and acoustic considerations.
• Troubleshoot, test, and commission AV/IT systems in partnership with field and integration teams.
• Serve as Project Lead on assigned projects and support successful system completion and client acceptance.
• Follow applicable safety standards and project-site requirements.
