Job summary

Avidex is seeking an AV Technician I in Lake Forest, CA to support installation of audiovisual systems at customer sites under foreman supervision. You’ll assist with equipment mounting, cabling, rack assembly, and reading project docs.

You will learn AV integration fundamentals, gain hands-on experience, and have opportunities to earn industry certifications while contributing to diverse projects in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Windows.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts as needed.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on project needs.
• Ability to obtain required state licenses or certifications, where applicable.
• Ability to obtain a Powder-Actuated Tool Certification.

Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment, cabling, and system components under the direction of a Foreman or Project Manager.
• Assist with equipment mounting, cable pulls, rack assembly, and installation of audiovisual systems.
• Read and follow project documentation, drawings, work orders, and installation instructions.
• Report project progress, issues, and scope changes to the Foreman or Project Manager.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout each project.
• Protect customer facilities, equipment, and materials during installation.
• Assist with project closeout by collecting equipment manuals, unused materials, and other required documentation.
• Work with the project team to ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Follow OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies at all times.
• Attend safety meetings, training sessions, and certification courses as required.
• Maintain required certifications and continue developing technical skills.
