Job summary

The New York Public Library seeks a Senior Manager of Audio Visual at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library to lead AV production for events and programming, coordinating with internal teams to define requirements and ensure staffing and equipment needs are met.

This role oversees AV inventory, contracts, and staff training, and collaborates with facilities, security, and program staff to deliver accessible, high-quality event experiences. 35 hours onsite with evenings/weekends as required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years management/supervisory experience.
• 7-10 years working professionally in audio visual settings and event productions.
• Experience with directing, and setting up video and audio for live stream broadcasting/recording of live events and meetings, both in person and remotely.
• Experience with audio and video editing software, primarily Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience with focusing professional lighting fixtures for stage lighting.

Responsibilities

• Manage AV equipment inventory, contracts, and scheduled maintenance.
• Train, manage, and schedule a team of full-and part-time AV technicians.
• Coordinate with colleagues on live event production logistics.
• Provide expert AV consultation to branch staff across NYPL.
• Production manager administrative responsibilities include planning, executing, and distributing work orders and production schedules.
