Job summary

Anthropic seeks an AV Engineer focused on Platform & Automation to own the software layer for collaboration systems across offices. You’ll build tools, integrations, and governance enabling AV Engineering, Operations, and Events to operate reliably.

You’ll write, ship, and operate code for fleet health monitoring, room testing, and IT-system integrations, while setting standards for version control, reviews, tests, and releases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in AV/collaboration or IT systems engineering.
• 4+ years writing, shipping, and maintaining production code.
• Fluent in Python, Lua, Go, TypeScript, or similar; shell scripting.
• Git-based workflows, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, logging, and observability.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and vendor SDKs; auth, rate limits, pagination, retries, and partial failures.
• Owned a tool or service in production over time; maintained and handed off cleanly.
• Defined engineering practices for teams with non-developers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship internal tools and integrations monitoring AV and collaboration systems across every office.
• Develop fleet health monitoring and automated room testing that catch failures early and open actionable tickets automatically.
• Build integrations across device and platform APIs—Q-SYS Lua, Logitech Sync, Google Meet hardware, Jira, Slack, PagerDuty, Google Workspace.
• Automate provisioning, configuration baselines, drift detection, certificate renewal, and asset data with readable, maintainable code.
• Own administration and lifecycle of software platforms behind the AV estate, including release management with staged rollouts and rollbacks.
• Operate internal tools as production services with monitoring, alerting, service metrics, and runbooks.
• Establish engineering practices: source control, code review, testing, CI/CD, and release.
• Enable AV Engineers and non-developers to contribute safely through templates and guardrails.
• Partner with Security, IT on least-privilege API access and secrets management.
• Gather requirements from AV Operations/Events, prioritize tooling roadmap, and decide build/buy/vendor options.
