Job summary

Encore Electric is seeking a highly capable Service Technician II in the Technology Solutions department. You will independently perform service calls, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and small projects across AV, cabling, and security disciplines, while mentoring junior technicians and ensuring safety and quality.

You will own tasks from preparation to closeout, communicate clearly with clients and team members, and support standard department practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in audiovisual, structured cabling, security, BAS, electrical, construction, or related discipline.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform service calls, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, moves/adds/changes, and small projects across technical disciplines.
• Own assigned service calls from start to finish and document outcomes.
• Communicate with clients, service coordinators, and supervisors about progress, scope changes, and materials needs.
• Install and configure field equipment like audiovisual displays, projectors, and conferencing systems.
• Read and interpret floor plans, diagrams, and specifications for job execution.
