Job summary

Avidex is seeking an experienced Audiovisual Technician - III to lead field installation teams on AV/IT systems in Southern California. You will install displays, projectors, screens, speakers, and cabling, and guide technicians through setup and testing.

Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, ensuring quality and safety, and mentoring junior staff while coordinating with project managers to hit schedules and codes.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of AV/IT system installation experience with leadership on field projects.
• Experience installing and mounting displays, projectors, speakers, and cabling.
• Ability to read construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Valid state installation license or certification where required.
• CTS-I certification or ability to obtain within two years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate field installation crews to stay on schedule.
• Install AV/IT equipment (displays, projectors, screens, speakers, cabling).
• Perform cable pulls, terminations, mounting, wiring, and setup.
• Read drawings and technical docs; test and troubleshoot installed systems.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to technicians.
• Maintain field records and communicate progress to Foreman/PM.
• Coordinate with project team to meet scope, quality, and codes.
• Maintain a safe, clean jobsite per OSHA and company rules.
