Job summary

Solutionz, Inc. is seeking a Lead AV Technician for a full-time, field-based role supporting projects across Pennsylvania, Central & South New Jersey, Ohio, and surrounding Northeast markets.

The candidate will travel regularly to customer sites and Solutionz offices as needed. The role requires deep expertise in installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of commercial AV systems, with strong leadership and communication to coordinate with Project Management and Field Engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years installing, integrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting commercial AV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret AV drawings, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills; able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience mentoring technicians and field personnel.
• CTS certification preferred; CTS-I preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of the final phase of assigned projects, including all outstanding punch list items.
• Maintain ownership of projects until all work is complete per project scope.
• Communicate project status and completion needs to leadership.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and Lead Field Engineer as projects approach final phase.
• Test basic functionality of installed equipment before release of technicians.
• Verify project drawings are current and redlines completed.
• Troubleshoot system issues and perform final commissioning as required.
• Manage RMA requests and return of defective/replacement equipment.
• Verify all project requirements are completed before closeout.
• Communicate deficiencies or additional work needs to stakeholders.
