Job summary

Solutionz, Inc. is seeking a Technician I to join our local field team in Paulsboro, NJ. The role involves installing, configuring, and testing commercial audiovisual systems at customer sites, with travel to various locations across Southern New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in audiovisual installation or related technical field.
• Basic understanding of audiovisual system installation and integration practices.
• Knowledge of cable types, terminations, signal flow, and structured cabling standards.
• Familiarity with display mounting, projection systems, equipment racks, speakers, and related AV technologies.
• Ability to read and interpret system drawings, wiring diagrams, and construction documents.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and installation equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other PC-based applications.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional audiovisual system installation and integration activities at customer sites.
• Install, terminate, label, dress, and test low-voltage cabling and related infrastructure.
• Assist with rack fabrication, equipment installation, and system integration activities.
• Install projection systems, flat-panel displays, display mounts, projection screens, ceiling speakers, microphones, cameras, and other AV equipment.
• Assist with video conferencing, unified communications, and collaboration technology deployments.
• Follow system drawings, wiring diagrams, scopes of work, and installation documentation.
• Support the configuration and testing of audiovisual systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and job site professionalism.
• Coordinate installation activities with project managers, lead technicians, field engineers, and customers.
• Verify materials, equipment, and installation requirements before beginning assigned tasks.
• Maintain installation schedules and communicate project status updates to project stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and support corrective actions as directed by project leadership.
• Ensure compliance with company safety requirements and industry best practices.
• Complete required project documentation, daily reports, and time-tracking records accurately and on time.
• Maintain company tools, vehicles, equipment, and work areas in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
• Support commissioning, testing, punch-list completion, and project closeout activities.
• Provide a positive customer experience and maintain professional communication with clients at all times.
• Assist with the training and development of less experienced team members when appropriate.
• Travel to customer sites as required to support project objectives.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
