Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to commission complex AV/control systems in the New England territory, primarily on customer sites. You will optimize equipment performance, collaborate with programmers, and often lead project teams to ensure installations meet the design intent.

The role requires strong field troubleshooting, remote support, and a commitment to staying current with firmware and technology across audio, video, control, and networking systems.

Qualifications

• Five or more years directly related FE experience.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.
• Field installation and/or system design experience
• Valid driver's license
• Audio, video and network systems familiarity
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

Responsibilities

• Commission systems in the field and optimize all settings (audio, video, displays, control, networking).
• Work with system programmer to ensure control system functionality and load new code remotely.
• Lead teams on large projects when required.
• Provide code and touch panel updates under programmer direction.
• Stay current on firmware updates and field issues.
• Diagnose known and found problems and form solutions.
• Mentor and provide remote assistance to other FEs.
