Job summary

Pavion is hiring an AV Commissioning Engineer/Technician to design, install, program, and service mission-critical audio-visual systems across New England. The role focuses on commissioning, integration, troubleshooting, and training end users on cutting-edge AV technologies.

The position requires 2–4 years in AV, Crestron certification, OSHA 10, and the ability to travel regionally. Competitive hourly compensation starts around $38/hr with additional commensurate pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years in Audio-Visual industry with Crestron experience.
• Experience installing, configuring, servicing low voltage AV systems.
• Must be able to travel throughout New England (RI, MA, NH, ME).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to work off-hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Program/configure, commission, and maintain small to medium Mission Critical AV systems.
• Program/configure basic system integrations between AV and related components.
• Terminate cables on rack components and control panels.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system problems at the software layer.
• Provide solutions and train end users on AV products and solutions.
• Document project state and coordinate resolutions with PMO and teams.
• Support PMO, Engineering and Sales during project implementation and new opportunities.
• Mentor other Mission Critical/AV team members.
• Help implement installation best practices for AV technologies.
