Job summary

Pepperdine University is seeking a Manager of Mountain AV to oversee technology operations for the Mountain AV team, staff supervision, and event support across campus. You will lead AV services, coordinate with IT Client Services and university partners, and ensure high-quality user experiences for events and classes.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive AV hardware/software knowledge, and commitment to service excellence, including after-hours events and weekend support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years supporting a variety of high-profile live events.
• 1+ year leading strategic initiatives and supervision.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable under auto insurance requirements.
• Excellent working knowledge of AV hardware and software products.
• Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting and computer/network skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; familiarity with Extron products.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Mountain AV Events area of IT Client Services and align with university goals.
• Manage operations, staff, and partnerships with internal/external stakeholders.
• Configure, operate, and support arena AV equipment and related technology.
• Document issues and maintain service tickets; log resolutions.
• Support events during normal hours, after hours, and weekends as needed.
• Promote data-driven service improvements and staff development.
