Job summary

Gusto is seeking an AV Engineer to own AV design and standardization across our offices and events. You will lead multi-site productions, architect room technologies, and drive the company-wide migration from Zoom to Google Meet, including room interoperability and hardware strategy.

In this senior role, you will own the capital roadmap, manage vendor relationships, and guide the AV tech voice alongside other teams. This role is SF-based with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of AV engineering experience across multi-site environments.
• Experience designing and owning AV systems and standards for events.
• Deep knowledge of AV control, routing, and live production workflows.
• Hands-on experience with meeting-room tech and AV-over-IP networks.

Responsibilities

• Own AV design and programming across offices and event spaces, including planning for new sites.
• Author and maintain the AV standard; define room tiers and signal flow.
• Architect and manage production for high-profile events and multi-day meetings.
• Lead the Zoom to Google Meet migration; manage room interoperability and hardware strategy.
• Own multi-site AV capital roadmap and vendor relationships; oversee budgets and contractors.
• Administer AV SaaS offerings and monitor room health dashboards; handle lifecycle.
• Serve as escalation path for IT Geeks Support on meeting-space tech and events.
• Use AI to automate runbooks, reporting, and documentation; build tooling where possible.
• Coach teams to empower others and prevent single points of failure.
