Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an AV Engineer to support a team of engineers in the McLean, VA area, with occasional relocation to Stuttgart, Germany. The role involves AV design solutions, drawing packages, and assisting the installation team in office settings.

The AV Engineer will design and test complex videoconferencing and integrated AV technologies, including Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems, and conduct customer site surveys to provide sales engineering support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience or a Master's degree in Engineering.
• Developing and implementing hardware and software solutions for data center and virtual infrastructure technologies.
• Experience with cost estimates and work breakdown structures for complex projects.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, AV and electrical equipment; AutoCAD or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Create drawing packages and BOMs in CAD.
• Design and test videoconferencing and integrated AV technologies.
• Design audio/video systems using Crestron, AMX and Extron control systems.
• Conduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support.
