Job summary

Rivian is seeking a Senior Autonomy Systems Validation Engineer to lead vehicle-level testing of ADAS, Autonomy and Robotaxi technologies at Rivian’s Arizona proving ground. You will plan and execute software feature testing, develop automated and simulation-based test methods that model real-world vehicle, environment and user behavior, and root-cause issues.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3+ years in ADAS, autonomous vehicles, robotaxis, or related field.
• Experience with automotive architecture, electrical systems and data logging.
• Scripting, test automation, verification and DVP processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute vehicle software feature data collection, validation and regression strategies.
• Create test metrics, infrastructure and automation to improve efficiency.
• Identify and root-cause software/hardware issues with domain experts.
• Analyze test data, generate reports, and recommend product improvements.
• Operate robotic test equipment and ensure regulatory testing compliance.
• Support prototype builds, sensor calibration, software flashing and data logger setup.
• Drive and evaluate prototype software and vehicles on test facilities and public roads.
• Travel up to 20%.
