Job summary

Scientific Systems seeks a Senior Software Engineer to lead development for autonomous vehicles and uncrewed systems. You will design, implement, and test advanced AI/ML software for autonomous flight and crewed-uncrewed collaboration, working across avionics and control domains.

The role requires strong hands-on engineering, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to travel to test events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields
• 5+ years in software development for AI robotics
• Experience building modular, production-grade autonomy software
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python; memory-safe languages preferred
• Familiar with Agile, Git, CI/CD, Jira, SonarQube, automated tests

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop multi-vehicle autonomy software
• Collaborate on design, implementation, testing of autonomy systems
• Present technical results to customers
• Integrate existing work into unified software architecture
• Occasional travel to remote test events
