Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician in Council Bluffs to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while guiding a small team toward higher customer care and satisfaction.

The role offers a flat-rate pay model reflecting task-based compensation and rapid task completion. Continued professional development is supported; paid formal training and opportunities to obtain ASE certifications are provided by the company to eligible technicians, with regional pay reflecting market

Qualifications

• Valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Brakes and hydraulics and/or steering & suspension experience.
• General automotive maintenance & tire repair know-how.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years (fees paid by company).
