Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Council Bluffs, IA seeks a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care and satisfaction. The role offers a flat-rate pay model with regional earning potential and a base pay range that reflects local market conditions.

Typical responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing brake/hydraulics, steering, suspension, exhaust systems, and more, with ongoing training and ASE certification

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skill in brakes/hydraulics and/or steering, suspension and alignments.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair experience.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake/hydraulics, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignments.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications within first two years; tests paid by the company; bonus for each test passed.
