Job summary

Gills Point S Tire is seeking a Master Automotive Technician in Glendive, MT, to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues and lead junior technicians. You will perform advanced engine work, electrical diagnostics, and drivability fixes while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role includes mentoring apprentices, collaborating with service advisors, and driving continuous improvement in shop operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• ASE Master Technician Certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Expert-level diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities across multiple vehicle systems.
• Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment, scan tools, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and specialty tools.
• Willingness to pursue and maintain ASE certifications with company support.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex drivability, engine performance, transmission, electrical, and network concerns.
• Perform advanced engine teardown, repair, and component replacement.
• Diagnose and repair drivetrain, suspension, steering, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to apprentices and technicians.
• Maintain high safety, quality, and workmanship standards.
• Assist Advisors with technical recommendations and repair explanations.
• Coordinate workflow to maximize shop productivity and efficiency.
