Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto is seeking a Master Automotive Technician in Oregon to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, mentor junior technicians, and maintain the highest standards of workmanship and safety. The role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and customer-focused service.

You will perform advanced diagnostics, major mechanical repairs, and provide technical guidance to the team while supporting service advisors and shop operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 7+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• ASE Master Technician Certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex drivability, engine, electrical, and system issues across multiple vehicle platforms.
• Mentor apprentice and journeyman technicians and share best practices.
• Lead advanced electrical diagnostics and complex wiring repairs while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Assist Service Advisors with technical explanations and accurate repair estimates; promote teamwork and efficiency.
