Job summary

Gills Point S Tire & Auto in Montana is seeking a Master Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, mentor apprentices, and lead advanced diagnostics and mechanical work. You will ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a collaborative shop environment.

The role requires expert diagnostics, major engine repairs, and proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Ase Master Technician Certification preferred but not required.
• Expert-level diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities across multiple vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose complex drivability, engine performance, transmission, electrical, and network communication concerns.
• Perform engine teardown, overhaul, repair, and replacement; repair timing components and cooling systems.
• Mentor and train apprentice, Level 1, and Level 2 technicians; provide technical guidance.
• Perform quality control inspections and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
• Assist Service Advisors with technical recommendations and repair explanations and help coordinate workflow.
