Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) seeks a Senior Technician in Hyattsville, MD to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while using leadership to drive a team toward better customer care and satisfaction.

You will stay current with evolving automotive tech through paid training, mentor junior techs, and pursue ASE certs. The role supports a competitive, regionally aligned pay model and potential sign-on bonuses.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license at all times.
• Skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments.
• General automotive maintenance & tire repair skills.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment.
