Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is seeking a capable Technician in Johns Creek, GA. The role focuses on diagnosing drivability and electrical systems, mentoring a team, and delivering superior customer service through clear explanations of problems and proposed solutions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in automotive diagnostics, an eye for detail, and ASE certs (4+ preferred). Applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check. Flexible to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5 plus 2 from list).
• Section 609 certification is required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment background check will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C and computer systems to specification.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Mentor and assist fellow technicians; drive team to deliver customer care.
• Keep management informed of mechanical repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain organized and clean shop and adhere to policies and safety rules.
