Job summary

Pep Boys is seeking an experienced Technician in Florida to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, mentor colleagues, and deliver superior customer service. You will interact with customers, explain problems, and propose repairs while keeping the shop organized and compliant with safety rules.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years of diagnostic/repair work, and ASE certifications. A valid driver’s license and ability to work varied shifts are necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of automotive diagnostic/repair experience.
• 4+ ASE certifications preferred (A4, A5; plus two from A1, A6, A7, A8, L1).
• 609 certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment background check completed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, and A/C systems.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers in understandable terms.
• Mentor and lead team members to improve customer care and satisfaction.
• Continuously learn new automotive technologies through training.
• Maintain organized and safe shop operations.
• Adhere to company policies, safety and environmental rules.
