Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations in Plano, TX is seeking a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while applying your leadership and mentoring skills to guide a team toward improved customer care and satisfaction. This role uses a flat-rate pay model with a pay range of $20.60–$31.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes, hydraulics, steering, suspension and alignments.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension/alignments, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical customers.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications (A1–A8) within first two years; tests paid; bonus per test.
