Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Austin seeks a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while using leadership and mentoring to improve customer care and satisfaction.

This role features a flat-rate pay model with a pay range of $20.60–$31.15 per hour, ongoing paid training, ASE certification support, and benefits including medical/dental/vision, vacation, 401(k) match, and daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• A.S.E. certification in at least one of A1-A8 (L1 acceptable) is preferred.
• Experience in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary/advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals clearly.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment (tests and fees paid by company).
