Job summary

Pep Boys in Massachusetts is seeking a Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team and educating customers on problems and proposed solutions for their vehicle.

The role requires 3+ years of automotive diagnosis and repair experience, ASE certifications, and the ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• High level of motivation, energy and a customer-focused attitude.
• Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications -- brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions.
