Job summary

Bellamy Strickland Chevrolet GMC — McDonough, GA is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our Main Service Lane. You will manage appointments, document customer concerns, present recommended maintenance, and build lasting customer relationships in a busy, high-volume dealership environment.

Greet customers, communicate effectively from check-in to delivery, review technician findings, and maximize shop productivity by selling labor hours and services.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive dealership Service Advisor / Service Writer experience REQUIRED.
• Proven ability to manage repair orders and effectively sell automotive maintenance and repair services.
• Strong understanding of dealership fixed operations and service department processes.
• Experience working in a high-volume service department preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and sales skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple repair orders simultaneously.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a busy Main Service Drive while providing prompt, professional service.
• Manage service appointments, repair orders, and customer communication from check-in through vehicle delivery.
• Accurately document customer concerns, vehicle information, and recommended repairs.
• Review technician findings, prepare estimates, and effectively present recommended maintenance and repairs to customers.
• Maximize shop productivity by effectively selling technician labor hours and recommended services.
• Maintain consistent communication with customers regarding vehicle status, repair timelines, and costs.
• Work closely with technicians, dispatch, parts, and fellow advisors to ensure efficient service operations.
• Build long-term customer relationships through excellent service, follow-through, and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation in dealership systems.
