Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in Casa Grande, AZ is seeking a Senior Interior Components Engineer to lead development of interior trim and systems from concept to production launch. You will work with vehicle engineering, design, marketing, and suppliers in a fast-paced environment emphasizing craftsmanship, quality, and on-time program execution.

The role requires 4+ years in interior components and systems development, CAD (CATIA V5/V6), and successful product launches.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of demonstrated experience as a detail oriented Interior Components and Systems development lead (e.g., hard trim, soft trim, IP, door trims, consoles, headliners, etc.)
• Knowledge and understanding of automotive interior components and systems, industry benchmarks, trends, and supplier capabilities
• Experience creating, improving, or establishing technical product specifications and timelines to support accelerated development toward SOP
• Proficiency in CAD for 2D/3D concept drawings, interior components and systems, packaging layouts, and DFM studies (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)
• Vehicle and product launch experience

Responsibilities

• Be a significant contributor to a world class Interior Components and Systems engineering team
• Create industry leading Interior Components and Systems with groundbreaking luxury, craftsmanship, performance, safety, ergonomics, and functionality
• Contribute to the packaging, engineering, release, and launch of Interior Components and Systems across the portfolio
• Work collaboratively within a cross functional marketing, design, and vehicle engineering team, prioritizing overall vehicle benefit above individual systems
• Collaborate with interior trim suppliers to ensure technical excellence and on time delivery of Interior Components and Systems
• Employ and develop effective tools and innovative approaches to support product development
