Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Sr Exterior Trim Engineer, Mechanisms & Glazing to design and develop exterior vehicle components in collaboration with a world-class team in Newark, CA. The role emphasizes both styling and functional excellence within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in exterior component design, CATIA V5/V6 experience, and strong teamwork; a BS in Mechanical Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in exterior vehicle component design & development.
• Experience with plastics design and Class A surfaces.
• CATIA V5 or V6 CAD experience.
• Knowledge of glazing, wipers, or OSRVM is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead or play a leading role in the packaging, engineering design, release, and launch of exterior components.
• Create cutting-edge exterior systems focusing on quality, reliability, functionality, mass, and cost.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional studio and vehicle engineering team.
• Employ and develop engineering tools to support the systems generation.
