Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking a resilient Sr. Sales Executive to grow market share by owning the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing with dealer principals and executives.

You will travel within your territory, build relationships face-to-face, and drive sustained revenue growth through data-driven selling. The role demands 7+ years in B2B field sales, 5+ years in automotive, and a proven ability to close deals with C-level decision makers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of B2B field sales experience with a proven track record of opening net-new accounts and driving business expansion.
• 5+ years selling within the automotive industry.
• Track record of closing deals with high-level decision makers (Dealer Principals, CEOs, COOs).
• CRM fluency (Salesforce preferred) to manage and report on your sales pipeline.
• Strong analytic mindset with ability to use data to prioritize outreach and opportunities.
• Mobile, territory-based role; willingness to travel to meet dealers.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a prioritized prospect list of new franchises and independent rooftops within the assigned territory.
• Execute high-volume outreach through in-person visits, phone outreach, and regional events to engage decision makers.
• Qualify prospects using ACV's framework, assessing opportunities and channel mix.
• Lead in-person discovery meetings to understand client workflows and relationships.
• Position ACV's products against dealer channels with data-backed value.
• Conduct live platform demos and educate dealers on policies.
• Introduce additional ACV product lines to offer a full-service solution.
• Negotiate and close seller agreements with pricing structure.
• Coordinate with Territory Managers for account handoffs and pipeline updates.
• Maintain accurate pipeline data in Salesforce daily and report on activity and targets.
• Achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets consistently.
• Monitor regional market trends and provide feedback.
