Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair and alignment/steering/suspension.
• Knowledge of general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills to handle diagnostic data.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension and alignment.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certifications; tests are paid for by the company; bonuses for tests passed.
