Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer — Automation & Tooling to translate cross-functional requirements into detailed specs for manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment. You’ll drive runoff/validation plans, lead kaizen events, and mentor teams while managing capital budgets and schedules.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, lean methods, and strong problem-solving skills to meet ambitious milestones and supplier collaboration targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience; manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Hands-on with lean/kaizen, standard work, poka-yoke, SPC, FMEA, and structured problem solving.
• Experience verifying and validating manufacturing processes.
• Background in equipment/tooling design and fabrication.
• Fluency in interpreting technical drawings and producing clear engineering reports.
• Mechanical design proficiency, including 3D modeling and creation of detailed 2D drawings.
• Comfort with ambiguous objectives; able to prioritize and define critical paths.
• Bias for action and urgency to hit program milestones.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into detailed specs for manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Create runoff and validation plans with equipment build oversight and testing.
• Lead continuous improvement to cut waste, reduce cost, and shorten lead times.
• Build and manage project schedules; identify critical path and risks for on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with tooling/equipment suppliers to meet technical, timing, and quality targets.
• Own capital forecasts and budgets; provide updates in reviews.
• Lead kaizen activities to scale production capacity and support growth.
• Provide project leadership for cross-functional teams and mentor engineers.
• Travel to supplier sites for pre-acceptance, runoff, and validation.
