Job summary

TE Connectivity Ltd. in Greensboro, NC, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for automated assembly. You will lead continuous improvement, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive OEE, scrap, and cycle-time improvements across production.

Responsibilities include hands-on engineering support, deploying CAD/Excel tools, and mentoring teams while coordinating with multiple technical groups to ensure high-quality, safe manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Manufacturing Engineering; high-volume automated env preferred.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience with automated manufacturing/assembly equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, PLCs, controls, sensors, servos, robotics, and industrial automation.
• Experience leading manufacturing improvement, automation, or capital projects.
• CAD and Excel proficiency.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead cross-functional activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead process and equipment improvements focused on safety, quality, productivity, scrap reduction, OEE, downtime, cycle time, and capacity.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean/TEOA principles.
• Analyze performance and develop practical solutions to improve process capability and efficiency.
• Support customer quality issues and corrective actions through root-cause analysis.
• Apply tools like PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, DOE, capability studies, 8D, and 5 Why.
