Job summary

TE Connectivity seeks a Manufacturing and Process Development Engineer in the Raleigh, NC area, onsite at the Fuquay-Varina facility. You will develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes with a focus on automation systems, including new product introductions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with automated assembly, robotics, and lean manufacturing; you will lead automation projects, coordinate with tooling and maintenance, monitor KPIs, and support PFMEA and process

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience implementing or supporting assembly automation systems.
Knowledge of process troubleshooting, statistical analysis, and root cause methodologies.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and OEE.
Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Collaborate with tooling suppliers and maintenance teams to improve mold performance and reliability.
Coordinate automation initiatives with PLCs, robotics, vision systems, conveyors, and ancillary equipment.
Manage automation capital projects from concept through production implementation and ROI analyses.
Support PFMEA, Control Plans, process validations, and capability studies.
