Job summary
Amgen is hiring a Sr. Mfg Systems Engineer to drive automation reliability, control-system design, and lifecycle ownership across the manufacturing IT landscape.
The role focuses on AVEVA Wonderware/PLC integration, GMP compliance, and digital transformation efforts to improve manufacturing performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with multifunctional teams to define requirements, develop specifications, validate systems, and support audits while advancing digital innovation on
Qualifications
- PhD in Engineering or equivalent; or MS with 2+ years in manufacturing systems/automation.
- Or BS in Engineering with 4+ years in manufacturing systems/automation.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead automation system reliability and design improvements.
- Support MES, SCADA, PLC integration and digital tooling.
- Define system requirements with cross-functional teams.
- Develop design specs, test plans and user docs.
- Troubleshoot issues and coordinate vendor support.
- Ensure cgmp data integrity and cybersecurity compliance.
- Support validation, change control, and CAPA processes.
- Train users and participate in audits/inspections.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, reliability and efficiency.
