Amazon is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and performance in fulfillment centers. You will lead cross-functional teams, troubleshoot complex control systems, and mentor junior engineers while improving material handling equipment efficiency.

You will work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, print/apply systems, and SCADA devices. This role requires hands-on leadership and a focus on safety and uptime across shifts.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/automation or 4+ years PLC programming experience
• Flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays
• 4+ years PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis in production
• 4+ years robotics work cells and control systems experience
• 4+ years Siemens, Allen-Bradley or Codesys ladder logic experience
• 4+ years electrical theory, robotics, and automated equipment knowledge

Aufgaben

• Apply SME to troubleshoot engineering issues and minimize downtime of critical assets
• Collaborate with Operations, FC Start-up, software, and safety teams on MHE optimization
• Maintain and troubleshoot material handling control systems and networks
• Monitor MHE metrics and analyze performance with maintenance/ops
• Provide escalation support during and after hours for repairs
• Move up to 49 lbs, stand for shifts up to 12 hours, climb ladders safely
