Job summary

Talanto in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Sr. Yield and Process Control Automation Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of automation software across wafer prep, die prep, and assembly test manufacturing.

You will partner with manufacturing, equipment engineering, IT, and process engineering to translate business needs into scalable automation solutions, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices for yield analytics and SPC-driven optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing automation, systems integration, or related areas.
• 3+ years' experience with yield management systems (YMS), statistical process control (SPC), and automated yield/SPC workflows.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy automation solutions with partner organizations across wafer prep, die prep, and assembly test manufacturing.
• Partner with manufacturing, equipment engineering, IT, process engineering, and quality teams to understand business needs and translate them into automation solutions.
• Maintain and improve software architecture, ensuring scalability, robustness, and maintainability.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and system‑level debugging for complex integration issues.
• Lead technical discussions, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and drive best practice adoption across the automation team.
• Explore emerging business disruptions and trends in the industry with the objective of identifying opportunities to influence and intercept internal product roadmaps with specific product and/or feature responses.
