Job summary
Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC in Bowling Green, KY seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead hands-on automation initiatives across robotics, control systems, and vision technologies. You will diagnose issues in motion, part handling, fixtures, PLC/HMI interfaces, and SCADA/MES networks to improve uptime, quality, and throughput.
The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, supplier engagement, and driving safety and compliance, with a strong focus on Lean practices
Qualifications
- 4+ years in a fast-paced production environment.
- Robotics troubleshooting and programming experience.
- Ability to read and debug PLC logic.
- Experience with SCADA, MES, IIoT and industrial protocols.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for manufacturing automation.
- Develop and integrate automated equipment, control systems, and robotics.
- Lead automation projects from concept through production.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
- Support corrective actions, safety programs, and training.
- Prepare performance reports and provide off-shift support.
