Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to maximize equipment reliability and throughput in its fulfillment centers. You will lead proactive controls automation, mentor junior engineers, and drive improvements across MHE systems including conveyors, sorters, scanners, cameras, and SCADA devices.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex control systems, analyzing performance metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/EE/Automation or equivalent experience (4+ years in PLC/automation).
Experience with robotics work cells and control systems.
Proficient in ladder logic and structured programming (Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Codesys).
Knowledge of electrical theory and motor controls.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and optimize MHE control systems and PLCs.
Collaborate with Operations and software teams to implement projects.
Maintain and improve reliability of conveyors, sortation and sensors.
Provide escalation support during and after hours to repair hardware/software.
