Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead and manage automation projects in pharmaceutical manufacturing. You will be the technical SME for computerized systems and uphold CFR Part 11 data integrity while guiding the automation team to operate reliably and compliantly.

Responsibilities include administering systems like Allen Bradley, Honeywell and Wonderware, maintaining SOPs, coordinating vendor activities, and training end users.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Engineering (Computer or Electrical preferred) or equivalence of certifications and experience.
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
5+ years in a pharmaceutical / drug manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Lead automation projects and provide guidance to the automation team.
Serve as technical expert and administrator on computerized systems (Allen Bradley, Honeywell, Wonderware). Manage user access across systems.
Design and perform routine maintenance on computerized systems to ensure reliable operation and backups.
Maintain site SOPs and CFR Part 11 data integrity requirements.
Provide ongoing support to maintenance staff and coordinate vendor activities for qualification and upgrades.
Serve as project lead and SME on site automation projects.
