Job summary

United Pharma seeks a Process Automation Engineer to lead design, project execution and commissioning of process systems in biopharma. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with vendors and contractors, and ensure compliance with GMP, ISA standards, and safety policies.

Responsibilities include managing feasibility through commissioning, FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, and cross-functional coordination. Experience with Emerson DeltaV, SCADA/Historians, and travel to client sites is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years pharma/biotech process automation engineering experience (8+ years preferred).
• 3+ years process controls with DCS/SCADA/Historians in biotech context.
• Experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS; ability to read electrical/PLC/DCS code.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for design, project management, commissioning, and startup of automation systems for upgrades and expansions.
• Lead project stages: Feasibility, Concept/Basic/Detail design, procurement, construction, governance.
• Coordinate with Process Engineering, Mechanical, Validation, and client stakeholders to drive progress.
• Review vendor/firms' software and hardware; perform automation/electrical troubleshooting on panels and systems.
• Support FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ protocols and commissioning activities.
• Travel to client sites; supervise contractors during critical installations and validations.
