Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering to lead capital projects across design, commissioning, and validation for biopharma manufacturing. You will oversee Site Area leads and System Integrators and drive DeltaV, PLC, and MES automation across the site.

The role requires deep DeltaV batch experience, strong knowledge of GMP and 21 CFR Part 11, and the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering.
• 8+ years biopharma automation engineering experience preferred.
• Must have experience with biotech or small molecule manufacturing using DeltaV batch.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital project execution from design through commissioning, qualification, and support.
• Oversee Site Area leads and System Integrators.
• Lead design reviews and DeltaV application software reviews; attend FATs.
• Develop functional requirements and process control strategies with Process Engineering.
• Translate technical concepts for executive and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop and implement Automation Engineering Project Plan.
• Promote digital innovation to enhance team efficiency.
• Maintain validated state of process control system software.
