Job summary
Amazon is seeking a Sr. Innovation & Design Engineer to own the end-to-end design journey for fulfillment center systems, interfacing with suppliers and internal teams to turn concepts into validated installations. This role combines robotics, automation, and material handling to optimize global logistics.
Based in Bellevue, WA, you will drive multi-site projects, ensure safety and quality, and contribute to design templates and best practices across the network.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of design & innovation and R&D experience.
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent required.
- Experience managing engineering design projects.
- Proficient with Excel, MS Project and CAD software.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and driving design reviews.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory considerations in design.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural and mechanical design of complex fulfillment center systems.
- Develop design specifications for automated material handling and robotics.
- Validate engineering calculations to meet performance targets.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on design reviews.
- Support installation and commissioning with Ops Engineering.
